Simulación Numérica y Validación Experimental de una Cámara de Combustión de Flama no Premezclada con Cuerpo Romo en la Inyección de Combustible
Abstract
This study focuses on the numerical model of combustion in a diffuse flame combustion chamber (non-premixed) implementing
a new form of bluff body (half sphere). The methodology focused on generating a recirculation zone in the primary zone of the
combustion chamber by varying the equivalence ratio. The numerical model of the chamber was made using a commercial software
(ANSYS- Fluent) of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and validated with temperature data measured in laboratory tests;
the results of the numerical model have similar behavior to those obtained experimentally. Results obtained in the post processing
of the validated numerical model are also shown, which demonstrate that at low equivalence ratio the recirculation area generated
by the bluff body increases, but when the equivalence ratio increases, the recirculation area decreases.
